Jason Arnott in his hay day represented what I loved about a player his size (which is pretty close to my height): A big guy, who could move, check, take faceoffs, and drive to the net with authority.
Arnott had a great shot that was good as a wrister or snap shot. His slapper wasn't too bad either, but he favored the other two better and they produced some accuracy along with goals. He was center who knew how to tie up his man or win the faceoff cleanly. When he was beaten, he found other ways to stay involved despite not having the puck. This sometimes meant checking and hustling on back. While not a dirty player or punishing hitter, Arnott delivered checks and made sure he was known on the ice. He traveled to where the puck was and through checks, slashes, and hooks. He was determined to get the puck and worked well in the corners. If Arnott lost the puck there, it was not through a lack of hard work. I have had the fortune of meeting Jason Arnott twice and he has been nothing short of gracious. He signed an autograph or two while engaging and saying he appreciated me being a fan. CAREER NHL STATS (1993-2012)

1995-1996 EDMONTON OILERS HOME WHITE SET 2
GAME USE & ABUSE: This is actually the second go around owning this shirt for me; I regretted instantly getting rid of it. This jersey is pounded with wear. Starting on the left sleeve, roughly 30 marks and then some general filth emanate from the cuffs to the sleeve number. There are seven unrepaired holes (most likely board burns that grew in shape and size) along with six repairs all the size of a quarter or larger. Turning the jersey inside out, you can see that the repairs are all "size tag" backed repairs meaning that other jerseys were robbed of their size, manufacturing, & washing tag to use as material to sew the repairs. AMAZING. On the other sleeve, just 25 stick marks come out to play and run the entire sleeve length with ten unrepaired holes. Five repairs can be seen with three of them being a quarter size or larger. The front used to have an "A" and there are roughly 6 unrepaired holes on the front. On the crest and below general filth and 30 marks make an abstract art piece. The orange shoulder piping has come loose on the bottom stitching starting on the right shoulder and going until the "R" in "ARNOTT". Onto the back, where a mere six stick marks and lone red paint transfer on the bottom left hem.

1998-1999 NEW JERSEY DEVILS RED ROAD SET 1
GAME USE: The left sleeve starts out with fourteen marks scattered from the numbers down to the cuff. Each Cuff of the sleeves has been hemmed slightly. There are also six repairs at the cuff and forearm region. On the right sleeve nine marks are spread out from the numbers down to the cuffs. Two repairs can be seen in the forearm/elbow region. Across the front there are a baker's dozen (13) marks that reside below the crest including a large slash just below the crest. Both shoulder feature board burns where the the black shoulder yoke attaches to the sleeve. The left shoulder features a repair as well. Two repairs can be seen in the stripes at the belly including a massive 4" inch stitch repair going diagonoal from right to left through the black stripe. On the back there is above average fraying to the numbers and letters. Four marks (all of which reside at the numbers or below) round out the wear.
