Adam Deadmarsh was essentially a bigger version of Kevin Dineen. Players who saw him as simply a checking forward would get burned by his dangerous speed and quickness. As those burned players turned, Deadmarsh would be either in on net, or already making the pass to players like Valeri Kamensky, Joe Sakic, Peter Forsberg, Scott Young, Jason Allison, or Zigmund Palffy who are not such a bad cast of characters to pass to.
When you look at Deadmarsh's game, there were so many things he did well. Coaches could throw him on the ice to fill a checking role. There were times in Colorado when Deadmarsh filled in for injured superstars (Sakic & Forsberg) and not only did not look out of place, but led the team in goal scoring (1996-97). Need a player to help protect a lead late in a game, just throw Adam out onto the ice. Place him out there as a penalty killer and see what happens. Scouts rarely ran out of positive things to say about him. Although not dirty, he would not back down from a challenge and even issued some himself. He was not a fighter, but would if it was what the team needed to get going, he would do it. I always liked that about him and the fact that he had this smirk on his face when he ran you over. Opposing players probably saw this and thought, "are you kidding me?" The best part was no one, but Deadmarsh knew if it was on purpose or not. I am asked constantly who is your favorite hockey player of all time: Is it Chorske or Deadmarsh? The answer really depends on the day, who I just got done watching a video on, or what shirt I just acquired from that specific player last. It is too close to call, but they are both my favorites for distinctly different reasons. Lastly, Adam Deadmarsh does hold a NHL first to his name. He is first player to have his name corrected on the Stanley Cup. In 1996, it was accidentally spelled "Deadmarch" and has been corrected. CAREER NHL STATS (1995-2003)

1994-1995 QUEBEC NORDIQUES WHITE HOME SET
GAME USE & ABUSE: The left arm stands out with over 25+ marks up and down the sleeve and three board burns. Twelve marks stand out on the right arm along with some nice red paint transfer from the boards. This might be the first sweater I've ever seen with more wear on the upper third of it than the lower third! Twelve marks alone grace the upper left part of the sweater (up and left of the crest) along with four great marks along the lower third to go with the other twenty "average" marks. On both sleeves and on the front there are the typical fraying one would associate with numbers, crest, and the fleur-de-lis. Also on the front there is general filth on the crest and it's edges. Deadmarsh or rather his opponents made sure not to miss the back of his jersey. A nice pull occurs to the left middle of the #1. Fraying is also prevalent to the numbers, name and fleur-de-lis. Six other stick marks are also noticeable with the two best ones being in the bottom part of the #8 and to the left of the 1st fleur-de-lis.

1999-2000 COLORADO AVALANCHE WHITE HOME SET
GAME USE & ABUSE: The right arm has no less than 30 marks on it mostly on the white elbow area, but also a few in the grey piping. The left arm has fifteen also in the white of the elbow region. I sadly count only eleven on the front, but there are two that exceed two inches in length with one thick one on the crest. Unfortunately, the back is pretty clean looking, with the most abuse being just some fraying to the name and numbers.

1999-2000 COLORADO AVALANCHE BURGUNDY ROAD SET
GAME USE & ABUSE: Awesome wear is displayed on this jersey starting the with the left arm. I can see roughly 20 stick marks that run up and down this jersey. from elbow to forearm to the above the numbers. Additionally, there are eight board burns with one having lost the battle to heat and becoming an unrepaired hole. The right arm has a measly six stick marks (with a great one across the bottom part of the #8), but twice as many board burns, four unrepaired holes in the elbow region and two repairs. Across the front of the jersey, there are easily 25+ stick marks on the hem, chest, crest, and lower third of the jersey. A dime size hole is to the left of the NHL 2000 patch with two others on the left shoulder below the patch. The right neck where the blue, white, black, and burgundy meet has a thumb tack size hole and quarter inch tear from a fight. Fraying exists across the entire jersey from the crest to the neck to each cuff of the arm. Deadmarsh is known for destroying his jerseys and the back doesn't disappoint. Starting at the back of the neck, there is a solid repair where the two pieces of fabric were ripped from a fight. Zig-zag stitching can be seen inside the neck across the collar tag. Twelve stick marks are visible on the darker fabric with most coming on the two back numbers. Fraying exists in two types: Heavy, which is on the numbers and light which can be seen on the nameplate and name. When the jersey is turned inside out you can see the number 3 written on the fight strap.

2000-2001 COLORADO AVALANCHE BURGUNDY ROAD SET 2
GAME USE & ABUSE: The left sleeve has three unrepaired holes and nine board burns. A nice stick mark goes across the numbers as well as on the lower forearm in the white stripe on the inside of the arm. Three unrepaired hole are on the right arm with six stick marks and some nice board burns on the forearm and elbow region. The front of the jersey has eight stick marks with all but three on the crest area. One in particular is on below the crest and is a good six-seven inches long and runs over the white and black stripe into the blue. The back of the jersey has some light fraying to the numbers and a few marks on the number 8 towards the top and one on the number 1 also near the top. Aside from that there isn't much to see.

2001-2002 LOS ANGELES KINGS WHITE HOME PLAYOFF SET
GAME USE & ABUSE: The right arm has three stick marks with the most noticeable being on the lower forearm and up by the numbers. I did not see a single mark on the left arm. On the front very limited wear as Dearmarsh probably only played four games in this jersey if that. The most noticeable mark is below the All Star Patch. The back is "clean" as they say. I did find a board burn on the bottom lower purple section that might show up in a photo as a hole.

2002 TEAM USA ROYAL FINLAND GAME SET
GAME USE & ABUSE: The right arm has the only seeable wear and it is important to keep in mind that this jersey was worn for only one game. Additional marks might be prevelant, but due to the dark areas of the jersey it is hard differentiate anything more. There is nothing to see on the back and aside from the mark on the fornt, we have a "clean" jersey.

2003-2004 LOS ANGELES KINGS ALERNATE PURPLE SET JERSEY
GAME USE & ABUSE: This is a game issued jersey that Adam Deadmarsh would have worn if he was healthy. During this time period he was suffering Post-Concussion symptoms.
